Location: Home office based but will report to Head Office (Manchester UK)

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday,

Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 + OTE dependent on experience/level

Overview:
The role is to provide service driven technical support to the United Kingdom and Ireland electro- mechanical customer base and team up with Clients field sales team.
Internal and external training will be provided to the successful candidate to facilitate the technical and sales aspects of this challenging career.

Tasks:
To provide day to day technical support and solutions to our customer base on a wide range of electro mechanical components such as connectors, switches, PCB assembly products as well as RF connectors
Assist our Field Sales team during customer visits on technical and product matters, through in depth product knowledge and experience to help provide a service driven customer focus.
Write technical presentations and application notes on the Electronic Connectors and RF Connectors for a global audience.
Present technical material in which to educate and promote their range of products and services at external and internal seminars

Requirements:
Minimum of BTEC HNC in Electrical/Electronic engineering, ideally a Degree in electronic design or mechatronics
Demonstrate knowledge of applicable safety standards, national and international with regards to connectivity products. Understanding of cable harness assembly practices.
Experience of using CAD packages such as CADSTAR or Altium, including their respective library formats
Capable of problem solving
Knowledge of the electro-mechanical industry including use of materials, environmental effects and constraints. Transmission line theory (including micro strip line) for implementation of RF connectors.
Some proven commercial sales experience would be advantageous, as the need to be commercial ware if component solutions are cost viable in particular applications
Experience in project and time management as well as capable of working with minimal supervision when required but also to be a team player
High willingness to travel , national and international travel form a high percentage of the workload. Must hold a full UK driving license
Confident presentation and communication skills.
